KNCCI-Nairobi organizes stakeholder forum for members
KNCCI-Nairobi in partnership with Business Advocacy Fund (BAF) organized a consultative forum for stakeholders to discuss the proposed Trade Policy and Markets Bill for Nairobi City County.
The forum was attended by among others, officials from Nairobi City County Government, The Institute for Social Accountability (TISA), Kenya National Hawkers Association (KENAHA), Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Jua Kali Association of Kenya, Kenya Law Reform Commission as well as members KNCC-Nairobi drawn from various industries and sectors.
The proposed Trade Policy and Markets Bill seek to address the current deficiency of 126 structured markets for businesses in Nairobi City County.
They are expected to lay down framework for promotion of trade, creation of more employment opportunities and to foster contribution of the county to Kenya’s economic growth.
